W. Robert Matson
(2000 - 2004)
Robert is a graduate student researching pattern formations in a rotating suspension. Originally from California, Robert came to Oklahoma State University in the summer of 1999 to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Physics. His primary focus at this time is characterizing and mapping the flow patterns observed as a function of viscosity and rotation rate, identification of transition boundaries, and the effects of certain control parameters on these boundaries. He finished his doctoral thesis in the summer of 2004 and now he is working at Emory University as a postdoctoral research fellow.
Robert co-wrote a rapid communication published in PRE 67, and he plans to submit at least two more papers before graduation.
